A high-quality print produced on thick, matte paper.
The Giclée printing process results in stunning images, full of exquisite and luxurious detail. With seven dye-based inks (which offer a vast range of colors), this process retains even the finest elements of a given artwork. Since my photographs incorporate ample darkness and shadow, Giclée printing ensures that even the smallest details are captured, while offering a lower price point than an exhibition-quality fine art print.
Giclee Prints are Archival - 100 years, 200 in dark storage.
I made this sort of chaotic flatlay after making my “unconditional love” piece. That one is a few posts back, (one tulip leaning on another if you missed it)
I had been super frustrated with the shoot. I had plans for one of my signature full frame, lush still lives, but nothing was working. I had tried to build around the two tulips in the other piece, but they wanted to be alone.
I ended up loving that piece very much just the way it ended up, but I had all these leftover tulips that were mostly falling apart after being bent and twisted so much. They still looked lovely though, like swaths of pastel paint on the dark canvas of my set.
So I shot them this way, on the floor in pieces. Things that are broken are beautiful too 🌷
